That New Year Bullshit

Dress: Vintage | Beret: Primark (similar) | Sweater: Amazon (similar)| Boots: Calvin Klein (similar) | Bag: TJ Maxx

I never believed in “New Years’ Resolutions” because you can resolute any day, minute, or second. It’s a marketing ploy. Great money making for some bloggers and gyms, but most of the time, there is no genuine dedication or desire. You buy a gym membership and you are hitting the gym every single day for the month of January, then BOOM – your wife gets pregnant, you get a new job, you moved into a new house, etc. and every single day turns into once a week turns into once a month.

Not saying that happens with everyone lol, but it’s normal to get hyped and then lose it.

On the positive side, what I do like about the whole “New Years’ Resolutions” crap is that it forces you to look back on this past year and all of your achievements, while thinking about where you would like to see yourself in a year from now: at the end of 2018. Time is stupid but in that aspect, I love it because it never fails to amaze you.

And on that note, in a nutshell, in December 2018, I would like to see myself fluent in the Italian language, travelled to at least one country, have 10k Instagram followers and 1,000 youtube subscribers (haha don’t we all?), better at yoga, and more grateful towards others and myself. I don’t consider these my resolutions. I consider these my goals…now, let’s check back at this post a year from now and see how we are all doing! 🙂

Where do you see yourself at the end of 2018?

I believe in New Year goals rather than resolutions, and I pair it with new habits (and often times hobby). Btw, love the vintage outfit dear, and your boots are really cute.

I honestly don’t have a New Year Resolution myself, it’s not a big deal for me. So yeah! Anyways, love those booties and your floral handbag, babe!
