Dress & Bag: Vintage
Yay for September because that means it’s NYFW! If you read and enjoyed my previous post on how I prepare for NYFW, then maybe you’ll enjoy this one as well. Here is my day in the life and my schedule of NYFW day 1 on September 6!
9:00 AM Wake up, get dressed, do makeup, and pack everything I need for the day since I won’t be coming home at all until the day is over. I’ll have my things ready the night before to cut down time spent in the morning!
9:50 AM Leave & catch the bus into NYC.
10:30 AM Take the subway down to Canal St. station.
11:17 AM After some lovely, typical subway delays, I arrive to the show [late] at Spring Studios. As soon as I step out of the subway station, I walk into a crowd of photographers who instantly turn their attention to me and shoot. This is a total spotlight moment but of course had to rush through it because I was too worried about being late to the show!
11:26 AM Made it to the show! I’m surrounded by the most fashionable people in a white, open room with a shitload of photographers. It’s a dream and I take my seat in the 2nd row.
11:33 AM Beautiful creations by Noon by Noor walk down the runway. At this point, I knew it was my job to cover the event and basically video the whole show, but I knew I had to be present in this moment because the collection was that captivating. See below for the show recap.
11:53 AM As soon as I exit, there’s the photographers again but I finally have some time to pose a little and twirl my dress!
12:00 PM Arrive at Starbucks. In need of a gallon of water due to 90 degree weather and wearing a long sleeved dress.
1:20 PM Take the subway up to 23rd street and head to Pier 59 for the Laurence & Chico show!
2:00 PM The Laurence & Chico show featured Miss J Alexander and some crazy moves down the runway!
2:52 PM Meeting my boyfriend, Michael, at Bluestone Lane for a very late lunch/early dinner! Pretty sure we indulged too much in the best avocado toast (try the gluten-free bread – in my opinion, it tastes so much better than the wheat toast) and rainbow bowl. Just what we needed after a day of heat exhaustion.
4:00 PM Shoot my dress for my blog of course out on the street!
4:13 PM Walk down a few blocks to a quick commercial audition while memorizing my lines on the way! #professional
4:30 PM Do the audition and run back to catch the bus to go back home!
6:00 PM Once I’m finally settled in, it’s time to plan for day 2 and do it all over again!
Noon by Noor SS19 Recap & Thoughts
Just wanted to share my some of my favorite looks from Noon by Noor’s SS19 show! From dainty stripes to vintage nightgowns to my moms’ old sweatshirt from the ’80s, I was in awe of this collection! Lately, I’ve been so into moody, dreamy blues and designers Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa captured it perfectly. What are your thoughts?
