5 Things I Did That Exploded My Blog Traffic & Engagement

We’ve all been there. Whether you’re just starting out or you want to boost your traffic even more, I got you. From being stuck at almost 30 views/per day for this past year, I recently pulled some strings and implemented new ways to boost my blog traffic, views, and engagement…and it worked! I’m sharing the new methods and strategies that worked for my blog views, and I hope that you will try them!

  1. Make appealing vertical pins.

When a user searches for ‘how to’ or ‘tips for’, they will most likely click on the big vertical pin saying in big letters ‘How To Style Blazers’. This is such a great way to attract engaged readers! Canva is your go-to resource for making high quality pins, but you can also use Adobe Photoshop.

  2. Utilize Tailwind.

This is my life saver, my hero, and totally worth every penny! If you’re not familiar with Tailwind, they have Pinterest and Instagram scheduling management app. To get your content seen on Pinterest, it’s easier if you’re active and posting at least 10 times a day throughout the day. Realistically, that’s difficult to remember in the midst of the day. Tailwind allows you to schedule specific pins to be posted to your boards or group boards in customized time slots, makes bulk pinning incredibly easy and quick, and gives you an in-depth look at your analytics. This is what actually made my views skyrocket within days. You can sign up for the free trial here (I make a little commission on this, but I honestly swear by this if you want to get blog views up).

  3. Set up an email newsletter.

Struggling with engagement levels? Email newsletters keeps the regulars coming back, and they are essential for keeping long-time readers! I use MailChimp since it’s free for the basic plan, but MailerLite is also a easier-to-navigate newsletter app.

  4. Put the link in your bio.

A good 30% of my audience comes from my Instagram bio! When they see a single link that leads directly to your blog post in your bio, they are more likely to click it. Of course, I have some call to actions either in my feed posts or on my stories!

  5. Create a strategy.

Just like with Instagram, it’s important to create a routine and a strategy. I try to dedicate a solid 45 minutes to an hour to checking out blogs and commenting on them! This is another surefire (but a little tedious) method to boost that traffic.

Let me know – do you guys have any tips/tricks for gaining blog views? What’s worked for you?
