It’s almost been a year since I dropped my fear and insecurity of making Youtube videos and writing a fashion blog. I honestly didn’t know that I would make it this far, but I did!
I never thought that the hardest part of blogging would actually be the hardest part. Or this might be the hardest part of my life. I’m 19 years old and I don’t go to college (what a shocker according to the college-after-high-school-stigma is up everyone’s asses). I work a part-time job which brings me the money I can just survive on. I’m a NYC actress losing passion and who can’t book an audition for the same 3 NYC TV shows: Homeland, Law & Order, and Blue Bloods. And I’m a fashion blogger and Youtuber. And I get judged, questioned, and stepped on.
So, I guess the hardest part of blogging, in my opinion, is dealing with the typical comments when you tell people you’re a fashion blogger, responding to comments like “and you make money off of that?” in which you respond to “well…not yet…exactly…uhmm…” or comments like “wow, you must be really into yourself” or the classic “you should’ve just went to college”, all while trying to say “fuck you” without actually saying “fuck you” with a smile and a pseudo-confident walk-away.
All I know and all I feel is whatever the fuck I’m doing right now is right. Or maybe it’s wrong, but this little gig certainly makes me happy. That’s all that matters, right?
